It seems that we’re all beholden to the “algorithm”, with online media custom tailored to each of our own little proclivities, and with the rise of AI-generated content, the need for a human touch in our messaging has never been more necessary to reach and persuade our audiences.

CUTTING THROUGH THE NOISE
Recommended accounts, ads based on personal taste, social media trends…if you think it’s overwhelming for the user with all these choices, imagine what it’s like as a content creator to be heard in the sea of cacophony that is the internet.
You could try shouting louder than everyone else!
You’ll say, “We’ll blast it on social media and make sure everyone knows about it! And then we’ll send an email, shoot a video, record an interview, buy some ad space, maybe even some tv time…”
But sometimes it takes a more nuanced approach. The solution may not be to say something louder, but to say it differently.
And not to get all science-y on you, (although we could certainly use some more discussion based on science today) when we’re talking about “cutting through the noise” it’s about finding the right frequency that will cut through, not adding your message to the top of everyone else’s.
